LINGUISTIC ABILITY IN EUROPEAN STANDARDS
The standards that we keep in our courses are equal to those in European and internationals schools:
A2 pre- intermediate level, or surviving level: understands sentences and expressions used frequently and to the related area ( i.e. personal information, basic family information, shopping, local geography, job). Communicate in simple activities and routine activities that require a simple exchange of information on common and pre-known subjects. Describe with simple terms his/her background, the surrounding environment, express immediate needs.
B1 Intermediate Level or Threshold Level: understand the keys passages of familiars subjects that are connected with school, free time, etc. orient him/herself with confidence in situations that can occur during a travel in the foreign country. Is able to produce a simple text related to familiar subjects or personal interests. Is able to express experiences or events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and to explain briefly his motivations, opinions and projects.
B2 Post intermediate: understand the principal ideas in complex texts on concrete and abstract subjects including technical discussions in his/her specific field. Able to interact with confidence and spontaneity aspects that produce a natural interaction with natives speakers without affords for the interlocutor. Produce a clear and detailed text on a big range of subjects, explaining his/her point of view on the topic giving the pros and cons of the different options.
C1 Advanced Level or autonomous efficiency: understand a wild range of complex and long texts and can understand the underlying meaning in them. Express him/herself with fluency and naturally. Use of a flexible and effective language for social, professional, academic porpoises. Produce clear and well built, detailed texts on complex topics, showing a confident control of the textual structure, of the connectors and of the cohesion elements.
C2 Complete control of the language in complex situations: understand practically all he /she hears and reads . can summarize information coming from different references both written and orals, re-building the topic in a coherent structure. Express the topic spontaneously, in a fluent and precise way, can detect the thin nuances of meaning in complex situations.
